a. Note:   Daniel was born 7 months after his parents were married. At the time they listed 232 E. 108 Street Ny, Ny as their address.
  He is living with his mother in 1910 and his occupation is listed as a clerk in a meat market.
  The 1925 census states that he a railway starter.
  Was a railway starter for the 3 Avenue Railroad in New York according to the 1920 census. Residence 753 E. 165 Street, Bronx
  According to Marion O'Connor Reardon, Daniel left school at 11 when his father died and sold newspapers and shoveled coal to support family. His brother (Louis?) had a frail heart and Daniel took care of him.
  WWI draft registration card shows he was working as an inspector for the Union Railroad, 176th St and Boston Road, Bronx. He was described as tall, slender with red hair and blue eyes. He was living at 570 Union Avenue New York with his wife and child. Registered in the Bronx.
  Middle name is shown as Thomas on marriage certificate from church where married.
  1930 Census shows that the family is living 247-23 Northern Boulevard, Little Neck. Daniel's occupation is listed as chauffeur and he is unemployed.
  1940 census he was working as a freight agent for a trucking firm. This could very well have been how Marion eventually met Hugh Gillen.
  WWII draft registration card shows that he was 6' with red hair and blue eyes. He was working for New England Transportation Company, 108 Tenth Avenue, New York City.
  New England Transportation Co. was an important player in truck and bus transport in New England, and was owned by the NYNH&H.
  Buried in Section 525, Row 3, Grave 18 (Triple) with wife and daughter.

Note:   According to Marion, Daniel and Mary celebrated 25 years of marriage and then separated around the time William (her brother) married Christine. Since William may have been 17? it could be anywhere from 1932 to 1939.
