Note: Taken from clipping in Lura Hall's family bible Aug. 14, 1996. Marvin Theodore Hall, 80, of Cullman, will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Grove Methodist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Hall died Tuesday, March 25, at his residence. Survivors include four sons, Billy Joe Hall, Cecil Hall, Ralph Hall and Jim Hall; four daughters Grace Haynes, Mary Farly, Charlotte Mosley and Nilah Harbison; a brother Leonard Hall; 33 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren. Higdon Funeral Home will conduct services. 10 October 1999 - while at the campground in Cullman, Alabama Will learned in a conversation with the man parked next to us that at one time Marvin had a cotton gin. We checked this with Aunt Lura Hall and Bill Hall and they both concurred that this was so. Marvin also had a sawmill and bought standing timber. He bought a stand of timber on the land that Lura Hall presently lives on. He built a house there. This original house was destroyed in a tornado. He then rebuilt on the same spot and later sold the home to his brother Leonard and his wife Lura.
