Note: At one time during prohibition Bob Mirl Hall was making some liquor on the Roberts property and had Silious standing guard against the authorities. The law did come and Silious fired off his shotgun, warning Myrl in time to leave. The authorities arrested Silious and charged him. They told him that if he confessed that he would get a years probation. Mirl went to the authorities and told them that it had been his still. Silious refused to confess to something he didn't do and spent a year in prison. (Source: Bill Hall, 11 October 1999) From The Cullman Times 26 August 1981 - SILAS S. ROBERTS - Silas S.
