Notes
a. Note:   Helen did not come to America as early as her brothers. It is believed that she stayed in Germany to care for her father Franz Balthasar. Her husband Jacob reported the death of Balthasar to the officials in Bavaria 31 May 1844. (Source: Death Certificate from LDS Film # 0488980 copied 1999) Helen was in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania as early as December 1846, when she was a baptismal sponsor for Joseph Daniel Lutz, son of her brother Martin Lutz. In November 1848, her husband Jacob Wannamacher, was a sponsor for Martin's son Jacob. Helen and Jacob appear in the dwelling beside that of Martin Lutz in the 1850 Robinson Township census. They appear with her brother Daniel Lutz in the 1860, 1870 and 1880 censuses.
