Note: Mrs. Margaret J. Putman Age 85, Passes Away - The death of Mrs. Margaret J. Putman occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John B. Smith two miles northeast of town June 1, 1930. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. B. B. Finley, of Florence; Mrs. John B. Smith, of Jasper and Mrs. B. R. Hilton of Sheffield. Funeral services were held at Corinth Church 8 miles southeast of Double Springs conducted by Rev. B. B. Gibson. Interment at that place. Mrs. Putman had been a member of the Missionary Baptist Church for 70 years. (Source: Willie Barton)
