Note:   A History of the Town of Industry, Franklin County, Maine, Page 49: John and Ebenezer, stepsons of Jonathan Knowlton, commenced a clearing on his section of the Gore, just west of the road leading to the Wesley N. Luce farm, in 1792. These gentlemen built a convenient log-house, and as both were unmarried, spent the following winter there in single blessedness. Also sent by Mrs. Raymond L.
