Note: FROM HISTORY OF WILTON (NH) GENEALOGIES: pg.381 William married and settled on the homestead with his father. About 1832 he sold his farm to his brother Jabez, and removed to Maine, (where his wife Polly died, and he married Thankful Swift). He was an intense stammerer; this impediment with his wit, oftentimes making his remarks laughable.
