Birth site: Pocasset. Nathaniel d. betw. 9 Mar 1771 - 15 May 1771 in Sandwich, at approximately 47 years of age. He married twice. (1) Mercy [Keziah] Handy and (2) Thankful Swift. He died intestate and Simeon Wing of Sandwich appointed administrator May 15,1771. Inventory; real estate 666p., 13s., 4d.; personal estate 145p., 10s., 10d. Nathaniel left a widow, name not given. He left at least two children, Nathaniel and Freeman, who were minors and said Simeon Wing was their guardian. Nathaniel and Mercy's children: i. Keziah Wing; ii. Mercy Wing; iii. Freeman Wing; iv. McLean, of Pittsburgh, Pa., 1971, NEHGR Vol 125 pg 248: Keziah Handy*: Married 20 June 1746, Nathaniel Wing "Junr" (Sandwich Town Records) *We believe it probable that her widower was the Nathaniel Wing who mar. (2) Thankful Swift, 22 May 1755 in Wareham, by whom he had eight children born in Sandwich. Thankful was b. Plymouth 26 Feb. 1737/8, dau. of Thomas Swift (William, William, William) and Thankful (Morey). History of Wayne, 1898, pg 29: Nathaniel Wing, a brother of Simeon, did not come to Wayne, but had three daughters, two of whom settled in Wayne, viz.: Deliverance, who married Obed Wing, a cousin of the third generation, and lived on the place known as the Obed Wing place, now owned by Mr. Coolidge. They had two sons, Obed, Jr. and Alpheus. Fear, dau. of Nathaniel, married Benjamin Burgess. Wing Fam. by C.P.Wing, 1881, pg 87: "99.
