Prutsman, 83, of Troupsburg RD1, died at h is ho me this morning [3/16/1974]. He had been ill for some time. Bo rn in Trou psburg Aug. 27, 1890, he was the son of James and Alice Pier ce Prutsma n. He was a member of the Troupsburg Baptist Church, and an ar ea farmer a ll his life. Surviving are his wife, the former Alice Harring ton, wh om he married in 1912. Also surviving are two sons, Durward and D onald, b oth of Troupsburg; two daughters, Mrs. Lumen (Madeline) Schenck a nd Mrs. G erald (Kathleen) Cornell, both of Greenwood RD1; 11 grandchildr en a nd 21 gr-grandchildren. The body is at the H. P. Smith and Son Funer al Ho me in Woodhull where calling hours, Sunday will be 2-4 and 7-9pm. S ervic es will be held there at 11am Monday, the Rev. David Gilbert, loc al Bapti st Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Hope Cemeter y, Troupsbur g. In lieu of flowers friends may donate to the American Can cer Society.
