Survivors: wife, Della; son, John of Sedan; daughter, Julia Brenner of Howard; stepson, Ivan Hebb of San Diego, Calif.; brother, Donald of Irving, Texas; sisters, Leta Campbell of Wichita, Opal Tedford of Oklahoma City, Shirley Tucker of Chanute; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren. Memorial has been established with the American Heart Association. OBITUARY---Winfield Daily County, June 30, 1986 MILLARD COX Millard Cox, 72, of Howard died Sunday in Fredonia Regional Hospital. He was born April 26, 1914, on a farm north of Howard to Benjamin and Myrtle Heisler Cox and attended rural schools. He married Della Friend in Howard June 1, 1948. He was employed on Elk County farms until 1956 when he moved to Howard where he worked as a service station attendant. He purchased the Howard APCO station in 1965 and retired in 1978. He was a member of the I.O.O.F. Lodge in Howard. Survivors include his wife; one son, John of Sedan; one daughter, Julia Brenner of Howard; one stepson, Ivan Hebb of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Donald of Irving, Texas; three sisters, Leta Campbell of Wichita. Opal Tedford of Oklahoma City, Shirley Tucker of Chanute; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Zimmerman Funeral Home, Howard, by Bernard Smith of the Howard Church of Christ. Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Howard. A memorial has been established in his name with the American Heart Association.
