Babb, 97, 1575 Granada Ave., Holly Hill, a resident for eight years, died Monday at the Daytona Beach Geriatric Center after a lengthy illness. Born in DeWitt, Neb., Mrs. Babb moved to this area from Hazelton, Kan. Survivors include a daughter, Lucille Larcom, Holly Hill; two sons, Lester, Chicago, and Marvin, Culver City, Calif.; a brother, Jesse Richardson, Howard, Kan.; a sister, Elsie Shumard, Lincoln, Neb.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Volusia Memorial, Ormond Beach, is in charge. Note: April 10, 2001, I talked to Lucille on the phone. She said that Ida did not have a middle name but through the years, many things asked for a middle name so she just used the initial "R". lh
