She passed away at her home near Chetopa June 23, 1950 aged 93 years and 21 days. With her parents she moved to Clinton, Mo., where she grew to womanhood. March 17, 1874 she was united in marriage to James N. Foster and to this union were born five children, three of whom preceded her in death. The family lived for some years in Nebraska, moving to Severy, Kansas in 1902. While residing there her husband passed away in 1904. The family came to this vicinity in 1909, where she had since resided. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughter, Nora and son Preston Foster of the home, 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren, besides other relatives and many friends. The funeral was conducted from the Miller Chapel with Rev. W. M. Rogers in charge and burial was in the Severy, KS Cemetery by the side of her husband. Rev. Rogers had been her Pastor some 40 or more years ago.
