Note: OBITUARY-SHINN FUNERAL HOME Majorie E. Armstrong, 83, of Dover, died Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Dardanelle Hospital. A daughter of the late Elbin and Dora Goss Lewis, she was born September 7, 1922 in Moline, Kansas. She had worked for the Area Agency on Aging for seventeen years, and loved dogs, crocheting and gardening. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard J. Armstrong; a son, Dallas Eugene Armstrong; a grandson, Dallas Eugene Armstrong Jr.; three brothers and five sisters. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law: Betty and Loren Drake and Karen McNown, all of Dover; four grandchildren: David and Katie Drake of Riverbank, California; Brent and Christa Drake of Dover; Nikki McNown of Russellville; and Glenn McNown of Malvern; and six great-grandchildren: Alex and Lauren Drake of Riverbank; Caitlin Drake, Dustin McNown and Allie Taylor, all of Dover; and Joshua Baker of Atkins. A family conducted memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Cremation arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service.
