a. Note:   Military service: September 16, 1862, Co M 7 Missouri Calvary Enlisted as a Private. Was first shown on Muster Roster for September and October 1862. He furnished his horse and equipment. The bounty of $25 was due and paid from date of enlistment. He appeared on the muster rolls for September/October 1862; November/December 1862; January/February 1863; February 28 to April 10, 1863 (special muster roll) March/April 1863. Notes on rosters always notes that pay was due for the use of horse and equipment. May/June roster states that Frederick enrolled and mustered in September 16, 1862 in Sedalia for 3 years. He was appointed Corporal August 13, 1863. The September/October muster roster states he died October 2, 1863 at General (Good) Hospital at Little Rock, Arkansas.
