Note: Susan or Lottie Royse. In a record of the names and dates of birth of the Royse children her name is listed as Susan C. Royse. Hugh, George and Darrel Royse remember that their grandmother often spoke of Lottie as the little girl that died. No further information has been found. Susan was not mentioned in the 1870 census or any census thereafter. We must assume she died. She is mentioned in both parents obituaries as having preceded them in death.
