a. Note:   William "Buck" Alderson (Dec. 19, 1795-April 10, 1861) married Margaret Boren in Sumner County, Tenn., and settled in Simpson Co., Kentucky. They came to Missouri in 1856, after suffering financial losses. They lived north of Cleveland in Cass County, MO. Mr. Alderson had been an extensive trader in livestock and supplier for Southern plantations. They had nine children: John, Nancy P., James C., Ersin, Benedict, David, P.H., James and Vincent.
