We got a telegram the 15. Uncle Elmore, John and Ula went down, she took with one of those spells and died in a few minutes, never spoke and she mortified so badly it was impossible to bring her up, but Uncle Elmore and John say they will bring her in the winter for she so often told them to bring her here when she died. But Ula said the roads from town out to Liza's was awful. They live 4 mi out; and they had to go ten mi to get there, the rivers have made the roads so bad. Ula said she (Aunt Nan) looked right natural, and they put a robe on her. She died 10 o'clock Thursday night, they B. her Fri. evening at 4. Liza took it right hard, but poor old thing I'm glad she is through suffering. Liza said she ate a hearty supper as ever, and seemed perfectly well when she went to bed. But they think she had a parlatic stroke her left side was black all the way down. Liza said she helped her all the time, and wanted to go gooseberry hunting the evening she died. I think it would be wicked to say she ought to have lived for she couldn't enjoy life much. Well I don't know about coming out, Ruth has gone back on me, if I come Ula will come too. We want to come bad enough and if we can come we will. All the folks are well, ans. soon. I must close I am in a hurry. Tell Sissie about Aunt Nan. Ans and tell all the news. I am Lovingly Cora This hand written letter was sent to Mary C. (Alderson) Armstrong by Cora Leonard who was a daughter of Margaret (Alderson) Leonard.
