McGinnis May 25 1865 Boyle County KyArchives Deed Written: May 25 1865 Recorded: May 25 1865 Book 9, page 249 For and in consideration of eight hundred and eighty dollars to us in hand paid, the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, we Finley L. McGinnis and Martha A. McGinnis his wife, of the County of Boyle and State of Kentucky, have this day bargained and sold and by these presents, doth bargain, sell, alien and convey unto Thomas C. Prewitt in trust for the use and benefit of Catharine J. Owens and her children the following tract of land on Quirks run, bounded as follows, Beginning at a Stone corner to J. G. Cecil in Thos. Coulter dec'd line, thence N89.50E 138 poles to a Stone corner to William Owens at R. in Said division thence N1/2E 18.56 poles to a Stone at figure 2 thence with a line of No. 3 S89.50W 138 poles to a Stone corner to lot No. 3 or Rebecca McGinnis, thence S1/2E 18.56 poles to the beginning containing Sixteen (16) acres more or less, and being the same land conveyed to the said F. L. McGinnis by Phillips and wife, to have and to hold the land hereby conveyed unto the said Thomas C. Prewitt trustee aforesaid, and we covenant to warrant the title to the same against the claims of all persons. Witness our hands this 25th day of May 1862. F. L. McGinnis Martha A. Nichols Clerk of the Boyle County Court, do certify, that the foregoing Deed was this day produced to me in my office, duly Stamped as required by Act of Congress, and acknowledged by F. L.
