Note: November 19, 2004: The following Information from Olivette Podszus was compiled by Olivette, her sister Viola, their father Fred England and his sister Hazel England. 1. Christina was born in Germany and came from a wealthy family. She went by "Tina" and her maiden name was "Shivily" 2. Family thinks she was dis-owned when she married the family gardener and subsequently ran off to America. Name of the gardener is unknown. He died soon after they came to America and there were no children of this union. 3. It took Christina Shivily 1 month to cross the ocean to America. 4. Christina had a brother in New York. Christina stopped in New York and stayed awhile. Then she left New York and went somewhere else and stayed for awhile. 5. Believed to have known John Frederick from her early life in Germany. Not sure this is correct. 6. Buried in a cemetery north of Trenton according to Hazel England Christina & Fred are believed to be buried in different cemeteries. 7. Possible names of cemeteries where she is buried are: Old German Cemetery also known as Drummond Cemetery Grundy Center Cemetery Both cemeteries located near the old homestead where Fred and Christina lived. 8. Anna Marie never visited her mother's grave after she was buried because "it was too far up there". From Coloma it would have been along way. 9. Christina was raised a Lutheran but never attended in later life. 10. Christiana died of Brights disease.
