A Volunteer checked divorce records in Delaware County for me but couldn¹t find any, maybe they were divorced in Dubuque County, since Libbie re-married there. lh 1920 Census, Earlville, Oneida Township, Delaware County, Iowa Dwelling #146, Family #146 RICHARDSON, Walter, head, m/w, 60, single, IA, Scotland, England, Laborer-Concrete Work OBITUARY--The Gate City Journal, Nyssa, Oregon--SUDDEN PASSING OF WALTER RICHARDSON Death claimed an old resident of Nyssa, Monday, June 18, when Walter Richardson passed away at his home on North First St., as a result of a sudden illness of only a few days duration. Mr. Richardson was a well known and highly respected citizen, familiar to everyone, as his work of transporting the mail to and from the postoffice and depot brought him in daily contact with the public. He was always on the job and always pleasant and will be greatly missed by his friends and neighbors in Nyssa. Walter Richardson was born May 12, 1859, at Earlville, Iowa. He died June 18th, 1928, at the age of 69 years one month six days. He was married to Libbie Taylor of Earlville, Iowa, Dec. 1, 1881, from this union one child was born, Ralph Richardson, of Orchard, Idaho. To his only son and his family who have been called upon to bear the loss of a devoted father, the sincere sympathy of the community is extended. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church in Nyssa Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. Broyle, Baptist Minister of Ontario, officiating. A large concourse of friends gathers to pay their last respects to their old friend. Burial took place in the Ontario cemetery.
