Note: Based on the fact that Thomas Sterling Armstrong's obituary says he was 7 years of when the family came to Jackson County, Missouri (which would have been in about 1853-54) and that Bernetta was born in Boyle County, Kentucky in 1853. I have concluded that John Irvin Armstrong was born in Jackson County, Missouri.
