Note: His middle name was possibly BOYLE. When John B. Alderson was born in 1816 in Simpson, Kentucky, his father, William, was 20 and his mother, Margaret, was 21. He married Ruth A. Thompson and they had 10 children together between 1835 and 1852. He then married Martha Amelia Chaudoin and they had four children together between 1864 and 1869. He died on January 3, 1873, in Cass, Missouri, at the age of 57, and was buried there.
