Dr. Guthrie of Bloomington, assisted by Drs. Nicolay and Blackburn performed an operation on her Wednesday night for strangulated temoral hernia. (Transcribed by Arthur Hoffman) OBITUARY--Transcribed from the Minier News dated Friday November 9,1894. The funeral of Mrs. Delancy was held at the M.E. Church last Saturday at 10 o'clock. The deceased was born in Fairfield Co., Ohio and was aged 58 years, 8 months, and 6 days and had lived in this vicinity 28 years. Her husband is living but incurably insane at the asylum. Seven children were born to them, of whom four are living: John of Peoria, Mrs. William Boucher, Chas. and Wil of Minier. She was a great sufferer. She was a member of the M.E. Church nearly all of her life and died happy with her children about her. (Transcribed by Arthur Hoffman)
