His wife the former Lydia Ellen Fail whom he married in Bloomington, died in Minier in 1900. Mr. Friend had engaged in farming all of his life. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Ella Spence and Mrs. Audrey Moon of Peoria. Mrs. Virna Turbett and Mrs. Pearl Saylor of Hanna City, two sons, Charles Friend of Hanna City and George Friend of Danville, 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Interment will be at Gaines Cemetery near Minier. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Wilton Mortuary. Note: no marker or stone found for Henry.
