a. Note:   The Minier News dated December 21, 1900: Died - Mrs. Henry Friend died at her home south-east of town Tuesday night after an illness extending over many months. The funeral was held at the home yesterday morning at ten o'clock, conducted by Eld. J. W.. Knight, and the burial was at Little Mackinaw (Gaines) cemetery. The maiden name of the deceased was Lydia Ellen Fail. She was born in Eureka July 22,1856. She was the mother of twelve children, eight of whom with the husband survive to mourn her death. They have the sympathy of the community.
