a. Note:   Bill and Anna became the parents of four children after which they were divorced. She left her children with their father and the in-laws where they remained until they reached adulthood. Mary returned to Welch where she did housework for people and helped family members when there was illnesses, new babies, etc. Work for women was very scarce so much of her time was spent in Chetopa with her mother. It seems that Anna had no further contact or relationships with her children, a stigma that left it's mark on that family. Anna remarried to Forrest Lea who was a barber in Drummond, Oklahoma until his retirement. At some point they moved to Colorado where they were living at the time of the death of Anna's mother, Mary.
