Note: Charley (as he was called) Friend was never married. OBITUARY--C.B. FRIEND Dies; Funeral Is Thursday Charles Benton Friend, 92, of Centralia died Monday night in a Vinita hospital. He was the brother of a Vinita resident. A retired farmer, he had lived in Craig County 57 years. He was born March 18, 1874, in Clinton, Mo. He was a member of the Methodist church. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Addie Friend of the home and Mrs. Flossie Allensworth of Centralia, and three brothers, George of the home, Roy of Chetopa, Kan., and William Friend of 637 N. Foreman St. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Baptist church at Centralia with the Rev. Cecil Odell of Tulsa officiating.
