Note: Spent year in California Died at home of Dr. George Wallace, son Returned home for visit, later to MO; bought farm, built house and married Census listed as Wallace W. Sears William went west in 1856, Wisconsin, Iowa, across plains by oxen to Colorado, Idaho, Oregon and California at age 20 where he worked in timber, mined, freighted, and ran a hotel. After ten years in the west he returned home for a visit.
