a. Note:   e name "George Florance"; port location and age fit. Another piece of evidence is based on witnesses of George and Jane's wedding. George and Ann Whiting are witnesses who where both born in Portsea in the same time period as was George Florance. It is possible that John was born in Scotland based on my father, Richard's info. passed down from his father, Robert Glennriddle Florance. His words suggest that the Florance group moved to England from Scotland at some point. The Florance's were not in England for a long period of time as we know it. The Florance's arrived in Scotland from France during an uprising related to the Huegenot movement supposedly.
