Note: A family story says that John Droullard smuggled himself aboard a ship in France using a wine cask or hogshead. The ship is thought to have brought him to New Orleans sometime in the first decade of the 19th century. He is said to have been a Huguenot. The first record found of him is an Ohio marriage record dated 1809. Buried in Grant Co., WI at the Waterloo Adventist Church and Cemetery. Died May 9, 1865.
