Note: PAUL LAUTERMILCH Paul, a descendent of one of the area's oldest families, was born January 21, 1929 at the same homestead as his father and grandfather north of Pioneer. He helped operate the family farm for years. He also worked as a farm hand by the month before entering the U.S. Army. Soon after returning from Germany he married Vanda (Phillips) Ridenour. They now own and live on the homestead of Vanda's grandparents at R.R., Hicksville, Ohio. Paul has worked as a mechanic for Oliver Implement dealers for many years. Vanda has been employed at the Weatherhead Corporation in Antwerp, Ohio. In their spare time they enjoy camping and fishing. To this union were born four children, Rachel, Glen, Gus and Daniel. Married Sherry OBITUARY Paul Lautermilch (1929 - 2006) HICKSVILLE - Paul Lautermilch, 77, of rural Hicksville, died Sunday, May 14, 2006, in the emergency room of Hicksville Community Hospital. Born Jan. 21, 1929, in Hillsdale County, Mich., to Delphos Harriet (Merrifield) and Glenn Lautermilch, he married Vanda R. Phillips on Oct. 30, 1954, and she preceded him in death on July 18, 2004. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he served in the Combat Engineers and was a farm implement mechanic. Surviving are four sons, Jim Lautermilch of Lima, Glen (and wife, Deb) Lautermilch of Bryan, Gus (Debra) Lautermilch of West Unity and Dan (Sherri) Lautermilch of Exeter, Calif.; two daughters, Judy Martinez of Hicksville and Rachel Fenter of Defiance; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Marion (Audrey) Lautermilch of Montpelier and Junior Lautermilch of Bryan; and sisters, Hazel Dietrich of Bryan, Mrs. Andy (Alice) Zoll of Defiance and Mildred Root of Quincy, Mich. Preceding him in death, in addition to his wife, were his parents; a brother, Louie Lautermilch; and sisters, Opal Brown and Grace Davis. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-8 p.m. in the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home-Bryan. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery, Bryan with graveside military rites by the Bryan American Legion. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice. www.oberlin-ford.com
