Note: Oxfordshire IA 3.(6). Husbandman of Aston-Le-Walls, Northants. where he was Churchwarden in 1607, 1609, and 1620. The place and date of his marriage to an Alice, probably about 1610, has not been traced. In 1612 he was a member of the Trained Bands, as was Thomas Elkington, of Upper Boddington (a). His will, dated 17 June 1621, was proved 19 April 1622. He directs that he is to be buried in the Churchyard, and leaves 3s 4d to the Church. He gives �20 and some furniture to each of his children Alice, William, John, Thomas and Mary. To his kinsman and Shepherd Thomas Elkington, he leaves two sheep. The balance of his goods he leaves to his wife and appoints her sole executor with John Butler, John Reniold, James Rainbow and Thomas Tincoxe as Overseers.
