a. Note:   Death Notice Source Newspaper: Oxford Tribune and Canada Dairy Reporter Thursday, October 12, 1899 Pg: 1, Col: 5 Text of Notice: MRS. S. G. COOK The death occurred on Wednesday, October 4th of Mrs. Lavina Gray Cook, relict of the late John Cook of this town at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. [Rev.] George Robertson, London. The remains were brought to Ingersoll for interment. Deceased was the daughter of Michael Gray of West Oxford [township], and was married to John Cook about 50 year ago. He died about 3 years ago, when the widow went to reside in Mount Forest, where their son, James J. Cook, resides. She became afflicted with dropsy, and her daughter, Mrs. Robertson, took her to her own home to give her more personal care, but she succumbed to the malady with which she was afflicted, passed away peacefully.
