a. Note:   Guisseppantonio came to the US in 1882. His wife Cornelia came to Ameri ca in 1888 with their daughter Mary. Shortly after they arrived, they cha nged the family name to Campbell because people couldn't pronounce their n ame. Also he felt if they were going to survive in this country, they ne eded to be American. He became Joseph, Cornelia became Nellie, and Campol ieti became Campbell. They settled in Hulberton, Orleans County, New York. He worked as a quar ryman, while his wife and children worked at home on the farm. There is a copy of his birth certificate from Campobasso and a copy of h is death certificate from Rochester, New York in my files.
