Note: Obituary Notice, Lockport, New York Newspaper 1961 A former City Treasurer, Benjamin M. Hutcheson, 89, formerly of 228 Genes ee St. Died Wednesday (June 14, 1961) Mr. Hutcheson was born in Lockpor t, May 22, 1872, the son of Robert H. And Agnes G. Hodge Hutcheson. He gr aduated from the Old Union School June 24, 1889. He worked as a bookkeep er for the old Niagara County National Bank for 15 years and served six su ccessive terms, from 1904 to 1915 as treasurer of the City of Lockport. A fter resigning because of ill health, Mr. Hutcheson went to Arizona, whe re he was a teller for the Arizona Central Bank in Oatman for one year. D uring World War 1 he was employed by the Dupont Engineering Corp. as an au ditor at Penniman, VA and Jacksonville, Tenn. After returning to Lockpo rt he was employed as a sheriff's deputy under James A. Campbell for 18 mo nths. When he retired in 1951, he was an operator for the K & M Taxi C o. A member of First Presbyterian Church since 1890, Mr. Hutcheson is sur vived by several nieces and nephews. Beginning this evening, friends may c all from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Geness ee St., where services will be held tomorrow evening at 8:30. The Rev. St ephen E. Palmer will officiate.
