Distinguished Service - N ew York - Unit #1420 1420 William T enlisted in the Union Army on Sept 5, 1862 from Lockport, Niaga ra County, New York for a service of three (3) years. His age was list ed as 21. Eyes: blue, Hair: Red, Complexion: Light, Height: 5'9" and occupati on as farmer. Enlisted in Company F, 151st Regiment on October 22, 18 62 at the age of 21. He was transferred Dec 21, 1864 from Company F to Co mpany C. He was a private throughout his service and was wounded in acti on and in a Frederick, Maryland hospital. He was discharged from Compa ny F, 151st Infantry Regiment New York on May 31, 1865 at Frederick, Maryl and Obituary Notice Lockport Union-Sun and Journal June 29, 1911 William J. Burke, an old and respected resident of this city, died at h is home, No. 91 Center Street, June 28. He leaves to mourn his loss besid es his wife, 4 sons, John, William, and Martin of Lockport, and Thom as of Palmer Falls, N.Y., five daughters, Mrs. Gordon Hutcheson, Mrs. Bu rt Tertickle, Eliza, Ida and Josephine all of this city, eleven grandchild ren and one brother Henry Burke of this city; one sister, Mrs. John Ma ck of Buffalo. The funeral will take place Friday, June 30 at 8:30 from t he house and 9:00 o'clock from St. John's Church, Chestnut Street. Interm ent in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The funeral services of the late William T. Burke took place this mornin g, June 30th at 8:30 from the house and 9 o'clock from St. John's Churc h. Rev Father Leddy officiated. The bearers were Mr. Warren Welch, Mr. P atrick Conlin, Mrs. Frank Reynolds, M.
