Note: l her death. She had a large bleeding ulcer at the top of her stomach. The bleeding could not be stopped by cauderization and she received 58 units of blood during the course of her treatment. Her last option for survival was radical surgery to remove part or all of her stomach, but she never made it to surgery. A few days before her death, she developed problems with breathing and her heart rate slowed.
