(ibid., 64: 268.) 8. PATIENCE3 SHERMAN (William2, William1), born in Marshfield, Mass., 3 Aug. 1674, died, probably in Duxbury, Mass., before Dec. 1723. She married in Duxbury, 15 Jan. 1695, JOSIAH WORMELL, born about 1672, died in Duxbury in 1738, son of Josiah and Remember (Brown) Wormell. He married secondly in Middleborough, Mass., 25 Dec. 1723, Grace (Wadsworth) Sprague, born 1679, died in Duxbury, 25 Nov. 1757, aged seventy-eight, daughter of John and Abigail (Andrews) Wadsworth and widow of William Sprague. Josiah Wormell, Jr., was a carpenter. He lived for a while in Duxbury and then he went to Bridgewater where he remained only a short time returning to Duxbury. Josiah Wormell and John Wormell of Duxbury, carpenters, sell to Josiah Wormell of Duxbury, land there, 16 Oct. 1698. (Plymouth Co., Deeds, 3: 64.) John Wormell of Duxbury sells to brother, Josiah Wormell of Bridgewater, all right title and interest, which, by virtue of the will of his honored grandfather, John Browne, late of Duxbury, deceased, may accrue to him the said John Wormell after the decease of his father and mother, Josiah and Remember Wormell, in the estate of housing and land where his father and mother then dwelt, 10 Mar. 1704-05. (ibid., 6: 188.) Josiah Wormell, Jr., yeoman, of Duxbury, sells to James Partridge land lying near the line between Duxbury and Pembroke belonging to Duxbury, 10 Mar. 1712-13. (ibid., 10: 287.) Josiah Wormell, Sr., of Duxbury, for love, goodwill and affection for son, Josiah Wormell, Jr., gives to him one-half the farm where the said Josiah, Jr., now lives, 3 May 1717-18. (ibid., 12: 137.) Phebe Wormell of Duxbury, spinster, quits to Josiah Wormell, the second of Duxbury, all right she has or ought to have to that farm in Duxbury, where the said Josiah Wormell lately dwelt and where her honored father and grandfather formerly dwelt, 10 Aug. 1722. (ibid., 16: 78.) Administration on the estate of Josiah Wormell of Duxbury, deceased, was granted his widow, Grace Wormell, 3 Nov. 1738. (Plymouth Co., Probate, 8: 82.) Grace Wormell of Duxbury, widow, made her will, 13 Jan. 1748. She gave to son Jethro Sprague, son Zerah Sprague, daughter Zerviah Chandler, to grandchildren, the children of her daughter Ruth, namely William Keen, Levi Keen, Abel Keen, Samuel Keen, Josiah Keen and Grace Cole, granddaughter Silvia Sprague, granddaughter Grace Sprague, granddaughter Ruben (sic) Chandler, grandson William Sprague, daughter Grace Sprague; son Jethro Sprague to be executor.
