Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, February 21, 2010, at Robbins Bible Methodist Church, where he was a member, with the Rev. Earl Newton and Rev. Ben Stowe officiating. Interment will be in Browns Chapel Christian Church. He was a born in Moore County on November 19, 1917, to Joe Garner and Mattie Morgan and was a retired welder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bessie A. Morgan, and son, Phil Morgan. He is survived by his sons, Rodney Lee Morgan and wife, Margie, of Eagle Springs, Alan Kent Morgan, and wife, Phyllis, of Eagle Springs; daughter, Tobbie Emmons and husband, Perry, of Robbins; grandchildren, Chris West, Amanda Seawell, Clark Morgan, Marca Miller, Melissa Brady, Drew Morgan, Jennifer Brown, Bradley Morgan, Randall Emmons, Melody Humble, Jonathan Emmons; eighteen great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., Saturday, February 20, 2010, at Phillips Funeral Home, 216 South Main Street, Star, and other times at the home.
