a. Note:   son. Richardson's property is noted as a reference point in land grants dated 10-1747. Ref. 'The Story of Moore County' by Manley W. Wellman John Richardson was also listed in the Moore County Census of 1800. John had three sons and one daughter. William was born about 1743-Drury was born in 1745-David was born in 1755 and died in the war. His widow Sarah applied for widow's pension in July 1838. Elizabeth was born ca. 1720 and married George Feagin. William Richardson the son of John was born about 1743 in Moore County. The first records found of William was in 1768 when William bought land from Thomas McLendon in the same year William sold land to Drury Richardson his brother. William married Margaret Ritter. Their son Noah Richardson Baptist Clergyman founded Bethelem Baptist Church near Carthage in 1843 married Elizabeth Cheek. Samuel Jasper Richardson was a quiet hardworking farmer who loved his family. Fifth generation Richardsons still farm Richardson lands dating back to 1768.
Note:   Two of the first settlers of Moore County were John and Thomas Richard
b. Note:   They settled on Joe Judson land where they reared 8 children.
