Notes
a. Note:   Wichita Weekly Times (Wichita Falls, Tx) June 05, 1908 has the following listing. Mark D. Walker, bookkeeper for the First National Bank of this city, will leave tonight for Fort Worth to attend the State Bankers' convention, which convenes in that city tomorrow. Wichita Weekly Times (Wichita Falls, Tx) June 3, 1910 WALKER-ANDERSON Well Known Young Couple United in Marriage Last Night. FROM THURSDAY'S DAILY. In the presence of a large throng of friends, Mark D. Walker and Miss Mary Louise Anderson were united in marriage at the First Presbyterian Church last night at 9 o'clock. The prominence and popularity of the contracting parties made the event one of unusual interest and it was given an added charm by several very pretty features. The church decorations were claborate, being a tasteful combination of palms, fern and flowers. Festoons of ferns were hung from the chandelier to the altar and the altar itself was a mass of white. The church was filled to its capacity long before the ceremony, attesting the popularity of the young people whose lives were to be united. The ceremony was opened with the Tannahauser wedding march played by Mrs. O.E.Maer. Mrs. McKee of Grandfield, then sang O'Perfect Love, very beautifully and this was followed by the bridal chorus. Lohengrin's melodious composition was rendered by a chorus of sixteen ladies, all arrayed in white with pink garlands. Those rendering this selection were Mesdames, McKee, Woodward, Fitzpatrick, Carrigan, Darnell, Smith, McCune, Montgomery, Beaver, Patterson, Burnside and Misses Ingram, Smith, Kemp and Haynes. The entrance of the bridal party was preceded by the two little ribbon bearers, Master Anderson Kenip and Miss Katheringe Lynch, who were followed by little Miss Mary Francis Collier, bearing the wedding ring in a white rose. Mrs P.P. Langford, matron of honor, preceded the bride. She was attired in white lace over satin and carried a Boquet of white roses. The bride then entered on the arm of her mother. Eight of the bride's friends attended her as maids, marching down the other aisle. They were Misses Lucille Brooks, Sibyl Kemp, Thompson, Willie Mae Kell, Charlie May Scott, Flora and Jewel Kemp and Esther Gorsline. The groom was attended by Lamar Fain as best man and by the ushers, Messrs. Fred Barron, Harley Heath, Newton Maer and F.P.Avis. The beautiful Presbyterian ceremony was then pronounced at the altar by Rev. J.L. McKee. The march down the aisle following the ceremony was over white flowers, strewn by the little flower girls. Following the ceremony the guests repaired to the home of the bride's mother, where an elaborate wedding reception was held. Congratulations were heaped upon the happy couple and they were the recipients of countless handsome presents. The bride is a Wichita girl, having spent the greater part of her life in this city. One of Wichita Falls' prettiest and most accomplished young ladies, she has that charm of personality that has endeared her to all who know her and made her one of this city's most generally loved girls. The groom has also been a Wichitan for many years and comes of one of this city's most prominent families. He is connected with the First National Bank of this city in the capacity of paying teller. He enjoys the friendship of a large circle and their best wishes go with him. Mr. and Mrs Walker will be at home to their friends at 1106 Austin.
