Note: Mother was the 4 th child in the family. She did not marry until she was 30 so she was home longer than the rest of the children. She had to pick cotton. She always said she had picked enough cotton for my sister and I both and we would never have to. When she was 7 years old, three weeks before Aunt Lottie was born she went to stay with Uncle Joe and Roxie when their twins were born.
