a. Note:   She was one of the first school crossing guards ever hired to help children cross the street to get to school without being injured. She worked for over 25 years at that job until she retired in 1985 to move to Hemet, Ca. When she was hired the guards didn't have medical insurance or retirement but when she left the city had implemented them but she didn't benefit from it.
