Giovanni arrived in the United States on the ship Ems on March 30, 1898 at the age of 71 years. The Ems departed from Naples, Italy. Manifest line #0006 He arrived with Guiseppe Piedimonte, age 27, Maria Piedimonte, age 25, Giovanni Piedimonte, age 3 and Filomeno Piedimonte, age one year and five months.
