Note: Obituary Notice, Lockport, New York Newspaper 1961 A former City Treasurer, Benjamin M. Hutcheson, 89, formerly of 228 Genesee St. Died Wednesday (June 14, 1961) Mr. Hutcheson was born in Lockport, May 22, 1872, the son of Robert H. And Agnes G. Hodge Hutcheson. He graduated from the Old Union School June 24, 1889. He worked as a bookkeeper for the old Niagara County National Bank for 15 years and served six successive terms, from 1904 to 1915 as treasurer of the City of Lockport. After resigning because of ill health, Mr. Hutcheson went to Arizona, where he was a teller for the Arizona Central Bank in Oatman for one year. During World War 1 he was employed by the Dupont Engineering Corp. as an auditor at Penniman, VA and Jacksonville, Tenn. After returning to Lockport he was employed as a sheriff's deputy under James A. Campbell for 18 months. When he retired in 1951, he was an operator for the K & M Taxi Co. A member of First Presbyterian Church since 1890, Mr. Hutcheson is survived by several nieces and nephews. Beginning this evening, friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., where services will be held tomorrow evening at 8:30. The Rev. Stephen E.
