Distinguished Service - N ew York - Unit #1420 1420 William T enlisted in the Union Army on Sept 5, 1862 from Lockport, Niagara County, New York for a service of three (3) years. His age was listed as 21. Eyes: blue, Hair: Red, Complexion: Light, Height: 5'9" and occupation as farmer. Enlisted in Company F, 151st Regiment on October 22, 1862 at the age of 21. He was transferred Dec 21, 1864 from Company F to Company C. He was a private throughout his service and was wounded in action and in a Frederick, Maryland hospital. He was discharged from Company F, 151st Infantry Regiment New York on May 31, 1865 at Frederick, Maryland Obituary Notice Lockport Union-Sun and Journal June 29, 1911 William J. Burke, an old and respected resident of this city, died at his home, No. 91 Center Street, June 28. He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife, 4 sons, John, William, and Martin of Lockport, and Thomas of Palmer Falls, N.Y., five daughters, Mrs. Gordon Hutcheson, Mrs. Burt Tertickle, Eliza, Ida and Josephine all of this city, eleven grandchildren and one brother Henry Burke of this city; one sister, Mrs. John Mack of Buffalo. The funeral will take place Friday, June 30 at 8:30 from the house and 9:00 o'clock from St. John's Church, Chestnut Street. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The funeral services of the late William T. Burke took place this morning, June 30th at 8:30 from the house and 9 o'clock from St. John's Church. Rev Father Leddy officiated. The bearers were Mr. Warren Welch, Mr. Patrick Conlin, Mrs. Frank Reynolds, M.
