Ohio, Oct 12, 1845,married Feb. 2, 1868SOLDIERS CERTIFICATE OF SERVICE The above soldiers certificateis written as it appeared on the certificate, but thecertificate was decorated with colored flags as it would havebeen in the late 1860s. Ezekiel was a member of the Greenup PostGrand Army of the Republic, his picture is in a group picture ofCivil War Veterans, available at the Depot. Ezekiel Andersonand his sons was one of the first concrete contractors in theCumberland County area. They poured concrete sidewalks,foundations, and about anything that concrete was used for that time. At James' grandfathers home , David Winnett, where James was born and raised, two and one half miles north of Greenup, a bigwhite home sitting on a hill up from the highway, confirmed by James' father and grandfather that Ezekiel Anderson poured the sidewalk going up the hill to the front porch. Ezekiel and sons were also carpenters, constructing homes and barns and what ever came their way.
