Note: Lewis retired in 1970 after 41yrs. as a machinist for the NY Central RR. Lewis was a member of the International Brotherhood of Machinists Lewis lived in Mattoon, ILL for almost 70yrs. prior to that he lived in Neoga,ILL.Lewis gave the option to the Winnett children to pay for Effie's buriel an they said no,so thats why Effie is buried next to Lewis an his 1st wife in Dodge Grove in Mattoon ILL. Lewis paid for burial so he buried her there. The other story was John Dean Winnett said it was rumored in the area that Effie was with child that why she married Lewis Lee.!!! (which that was JUST a rumor)
