Note: Martha Kate Rhode Heath Huff was childless, but raised William Morton Huff's son by his first marriage as her own. When her stepson died in a motorcycle accident, Martha Kate was devastated. Martha Kate became senile when older. She would refuse to eat for days, and then would finally eat. She died from food poisoning after eating moldy food. On the 1900 census form, Martha Kate (who went by Kate) said she was widowed.
