Notes from database by William Collier on Rootsweb:
He married Eliza Jane McCormic in Jefferson Co. IN in 1831 and they returned to live in Trimble Co. KY. Records show that he owned land in Bedford County, KY, and was a tailor who owned his own tailor shop. He was also a school teacher and farmer. They had several daughters, but only two sons. After his father died in late 1857 or early 1858, he returned to Harrison Co. MO where he had lived for a few years. His daughter, Lucy Jane (DUNCAN) McIntire and her husband returned with him to Missouri. Lucy Jane died shortly after their return. GH. Said Frederick lived in Halltown, MO in 1860 with his son and two of his uncles. Info obtained from 1850 Trimble Co. KY Census. 1870 Lawrence Co. MO Cen., Jefferson Co. IN. Marriage Rec. Mason's Records of Rock Prairie #2, Green Co MO From 1872-1876. Tombstone Pictures, Prairie Grove Cem. Lawrence Co. MO.: Verbal Info. Frederick resided from 1837 to 1852 in Bedford, Trimble Co., KY; 1858 in Gentry/Harrison Co., MO; 1866 Madison/Polk Co., IA; 1867-1876 Halltown, Lawrence Co., MO. (gh) Though I had knowledge that the tombstone on his grave, Prairie Grove Cem, at Halltown, MO, gives his name as Fred K. DUNCAN B. May 31, 1807 and d. 8 Oct. 1876 (Mason Insignia on Stone). A grandson of Fred's named Garnet DUNCAN, is buried between his dad & grandfather, but has no stone, d, 1878. There is a stone listed for Mary b. HARRISON, b. 20 Jun 1870, d, 28 Oct. 1872, which I believe might have been the child of one of the daughters of Fred K, DUNCAN, Senia, Rachel, or Cornelia. DOCUMENTS HELD 1.
